'This is an outstanding atlas of human anatomy which will accompany medical students fort he duration of their studies, whatever their field of interest or specialization. Clinicinas in practice should consider adding this atlas to their personal library or, at a minimum, to the department's collection.'

'It is a very well documented atlas with high quality illustrations. The three languages are especially useful in our department because we teach anatomy in Hungarian and English. The clinical aspects are also helpful in teaching. The atlas is warmly recommended for medical students and physicians working at different branches of medical sciences.'

Prof. Dr. K. Matesz, Faculty of Anatomy, University Medical School of Debrecen, Hungary

'This is a very good atlas containing many improvments (I know older editions). The new Wolf-Heidegger exhibits suitable proportion of new (CT, MR, angio, sections) and traditional illustrations and pictures and navigates students to widely-used and expanding imaging technologies. I shall recommend this atlas to my students!'

Dr. R. Druga, Dept. of Functional Anatomy, 2nd Medical Faculty, Charles University, Praha, Czech Republic

'I was suprised but very pleasantly so, to find English legends. This is a very important advantage and selling point ...
It will be a very good dictionary for all of us too – also for students of medicine in a future united Europe where English will be all the more important! I will show this to our 220 new first semester students in Anatomy I in October'

PD Dr. Robert L. Snipes, Institute for Anatomy and Cell Biology, Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany

'This review concerns the famous Wolf-Heidegger two-volume Atlas of Human Anatomy. The Atlas represents the fifth, competely revised, updated and supplemented edition of Wolf-Heidegger's classic. First it was published in 1954, to become an immediate medical bestseller. In the two volumes, there is not only the high class color anatomy. Since today we are used to modern imaging techniques, radiological images including CT and MRI scans are placed directly opposite the respective anatomical sections. Like other specialists, plastic surgeons are fans of anatomy. It helps us to understand clinical problems, in particular to design better therapeutical approaches, think of free flaps.
It's a pleasure to own these two volumes.'

L. Clodius, M.D., in European Journal of Plastic Surgery
